Casual cycling waits about three weeks, since saddle pressure sits near the repair. Walking and jogging return much sooner.
Does sand or ocean water raise infection risk afterward?
Only until the incision seals, usually by week three. After that, beach life carries no special risk; the flap closure was designed for people who refuse to give it up.
